I'm just wondering if you can just drill a whole into a plectrum so that I can use it for jewellery. Will this work, or will it shatter? If it doesn't work, how do people create those plectrum charms?

I've had a plectrum on my keyring for around 10 years.

I drilled it, but that's because it's a fairly soft plastic, if you're worrying about shattering you could always melt a small hole in it, my friend used a soldering iron to make a really small hole in his favourite plectrum, he wears it as a charm round his neck, it looks pretty good .
