You do not need to …
You do not need to cover the silver with the baking soda; as long as the baking soda is dissolved in the water the reaction will work. Also, multiple washes are not necessary; just leave the silver in the solution longer and the reaction will continue to remove the tarnish.

Worked really well …
Worked really well and was super easy. I used aluminum foil vs. the pan and scrubbed some “missed” areas w/ the foil once I washed it. Came out really well!!!
